ALL ROUND DEVELOPMENT
WORK IN THE YEAR 2007 - 08
New
reciprocal affiliations has been done with following reputed clubs
1. The Cuttack Club, Cuttack
2. The Cawnpore Club, Kanpur
3. Bokaro Club, Bokaro Steel City
4. Lucknow Golf Club, Lucknow
5. The Riverside club, New Delhi.
- A 42 inch plasma
television has been installed in the club bar with 5 + 1 home
theatre sound system.
- Tata sky
satellite system has been installed in club lounge, bar and
restaurant. Members interested in viewing their favorite channels
can enjoy the quality and consistency of Tata sky satellite
system.
- Air conditioned
indoor sports room is now functional at the club. It is providing
facilities of table tennis, carom and dart. New match size table
tennis table and carom board had been purchased for the recreation
of kids and all concerned.
- A power inverter
has been installed in guest house to provide un interrupted power
supply to guests staying there.
- Damp walls and
ceiling was a matter of concern for all previous working
committees and members, this year water proofing ceiling of club
main building has been done to avoid dampness in future.
- Marble has been
laid on the stage of community hall to give a better look for
functions and marriages held there.
- Lights have been
installed in the hard lawn tennis court. Members can now play
tennis during evening hours also. The clay court has been
converted into a weather proof chuna surkhi court. This court is
first of its kind in Jharkhand. Now tennis players can experience
the highest quality of speed and consistent bounce in their game.
- To accelerate
national and international affiliations we had uploaded club site
www.dhanbadclub.com. Members and other people
interested in knowing about Dhanbad club ltd. Can simply log on to
the site and know about the facilities and activities of the club.
- New uniforms
have been given to all staff of club. The club staff has a new
fresh look. Workshops were conducted for club staff to provide
fast and quality service to its members.
- Latest scotches
and whisky has been made available at club bar. Wine, champagne is
also available. Cocktails can be had on request from bar captain.
- Billiards room
is surely the heart and pride of the club, this year it was
renovated completely with new carpet and accessories.
- Wooden hall has
been transformed into a banquet hall with complete renovation.
This now hold parties with gatherings up to 80 persons and is
available for meetings and seminars. The best quality of p.a.
system, false ceiling material, floor polish and lighting system
has been used. The banquet hall is fully air conditioned by
installation of six split air conditioners.
- Verandah in the
main building is used by members for sitting and having
refreshments with their family and friends, it has been renovated
thoroughly for better ambience to members.
- Cards room is
also been renovated. Vitrified flooring tiles, false ceiling and
concept decoration give card room an international look.
- The New Year
party this year was a huge success with the highest turn out of
crowd ever in club history. The club also recorded an all time
highest profit of Rs.1.70 lacs approx.
- An outdoor lawn
has been constructed in the vacant area near the tennis court. In
future the committee can install swings for kids and sitting
benches for senior members of club.
- Agreement has
been done with Seagrams Company for sponsorships of club program
on annual basis. The sponsorship amount is Rs.2.25 lacs in the
first year and can be revised by the committee from time to time.
Bar was also renovated by the Seagrams Company in the year 2007
-08
