FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS
FOR THE YEAR 2007 08
1. Sales of
bar increased from 24.07 lacs to 32.17 lacs i.e. by
33.65 %.
2. Sales of restaurant increased from 22.36 lacs to 29.48 lacs i.e.
by 31.84 %.
3. Booking charges of guest house increased from 1.46 lacs to 2.47
lacs i.e. by
69.17 %.
4. Booking charges of community hall increased from 3.50 lacs to
5.07 lacs i.e. by
44.85 %.
5. No reserve fund or fixed deposits were used for any expense or
development work,
the committee generated funds to make its vision come true.
6. Tally version 9 original software is now being used for club
accounts.
7. Bar is now using fusion retail software, issuing computerized
bills and maintaining transparent
inventory system.
8. No discrepancy was found in the physical stock and book stock of
the bar in the verification
done by the auditors.
9. Club is now registered in the article 25 of companies act 1956.
This gives club income tax
exemptions and relief from many formalities.
10. First time in the history of club, we introduced numbering
system on debit and credit vouchers,
each and every transaction was on a numbered voucher,
hence no discrepancy in accounting
system or voucher entries was found or mentioned by the
auditors in the audit report.
11. Salary, wages and members ledgers were compiled and maintained
under single head, to avoid
confusions and therefore getting better results.
12. Net profit of the financial year 2006 07 was 6.37 lacs. It was
highest profit since revival of
the club. In this financial year 2007 08 the
Net profit has increased from 6.37 lacs to 11.01 lacs i.e. by
72.84 %.
13. Efforts were made for speedy recovery of dues from members and
from other debtors.
14. Inflation in country is at all time high of around 7.66 %. But
at Dhanbad Club the committee
did not increase prices of any facility, bar or
restaurant and hence standing upon the
commitment of delivering the best quality at the lowest
price.
